| The preservation of historic mercantile
buildings is an important part of our Canadian heritage.
A group of 11 designated properties were retained and
incorporated into the BCE Place Heritage Square project.
Old World Stone provided the dimensional cut stone
for the restoration project. Carved brackets and corbels,
moulded cornices and string courses, pilaster and plinths
were custom fabricated to match the original profiles.
Photographs, site dimensions and sketches were used
to replicate exact details. Indiana limestone and Ohio
sandstone were used for the project.
