| The Ontario Legislature was restored
in a multi-phase project which spanned a five year period.
Old World Stone Ltd. supplied the dimensional cut and
carved stone for the final phase; the North Wing.
Three hundred tons of St. Bee's red sandstone in rough
quarry block form were shipped from Cumbria, England
to the fabricating plant of Old World Stone. In a brief
four month period they were cut and shaped into over
five hundred pieces for installation by the masonry
restoration contractor.
Two carved panels depicting mythological beasts were
a special challenge for Old World's team of craftsmen.
