Excessive weathering required numerous portions of
the Bank of New York's façade to be replaced.
Due to the magnitude of the building, the project
was divided into several phases.
Old World Stone has supplied stone for three of the
previous phases of work, with the most recent requiring
new rectangular and profiled panels and sills cut in
Indiana buff limestone. The exposed faces are lightly
sandblasted to match the older stones. Precise delivery
dates and times for the material to Manhattan was critical
to the success of this project. Old World Stone met
all the masonry contractor's stringent requirements.
