Adorning the city skyline since 1890 this landmark building
is located in the most prominent site within downtown
Cincinnati. With many civic structures previously completed
it was with confidence that Old World Stone was commissioned
by the city of Cincinnati to replace the finials atop
of the dormers and to supply over 100 tons of St. Bee’s
Red and Wilderness Red sandstone. Decayed from a century
of weathering, the existing stone was transported to
our fabrication plant for exact duplication. The outcome…a
complete, comprehensive look the original way Mr.Hannaford
had envisioned over a century ago. Today, this handsome
civic building stands proud for a city that takes pride
in their heritage architecture and will continue to
do so for many generations to come.
